I love Rock and Roller coaster!! Which band was first approached to star in it?

I think back in the 50s it was probably a greater no-no.

Intriguing question - I never knew there was a "first choice". I've got to believe they stuck with the idea of Classic Rock, and though I feel very strongly that they wouldn't have gone for it, I could definitely see Disney approaching Led Zepplin. If you're going to make a Rockin' Roller Coaster, I'm thinking you're going to approach an iconinc rock band.

More contemporary. Band started in the 80s.

I'm having a ball coming up with bands that would have been hilarious to use in place of Aerosmith now. Keep going back to Flock of Seagulls. Ride would not have been the same!

Now for my real guess: Def Leppard was pretty big in the 80's. Could that be the answer?

Not any of those.
Although, in the really early days of the band, the lead singer had a very flock of seagulls-esq hairdo. Not quite as extreme, but the basic shape was there.

Okay, I threw this question at my wife, and without hesitation she said it was the band U2. It would truly make her day to know she nailed a Disney trivia question that had me stumped.

U2 was a thought but not approached apparently (?), Rolling Stones were approached and said no. I was going with U2.

This one's about the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The inspiration for the design of the ride at Magic Kingdom in WDW was Arizona's Monument Valley. What US national park inspired the design of the ride in Disneyland?

I can only think of a couple of national parks off the top of my head. Don't think it's Acadia (in Maine). How about Yellowstone?
