We are going tonight for the first screening at Pleasure Island. We won tickets from the Orlando Sentinel to see the first showing in their digital theater. I will be back late tonight with a first review! _________________ John |

I went to see the movie this afternoon and I thought it was good. Lasseter did a good job on this one. Very cute movie. |

Donna and I went to see this Friday night. I thought the movie was fair at best. Don't see us rushing back to see this anytime soon. May buy the DVD when it comes out, but only if I can find it on sale. This is defintely not one I will pre-order.
We went to a late show, but I expected to see more than a dozen people in the theater. In fact, Donna and I both dozed off for a while.
I thought the movie itself was done okay, but the story line was very tired. _________________ [ |

Thanks for the reviews. I still want to catch this one in the theatre...probbly $5 Flick, though. I've heard really good reviews about the animationand characters...but the story as Figmentathm said is reported to be the downfall.
I enjoy most movies...so I'm sure it will entertain me

I took my younger sister and cousin to see it on Friday night. It's not going to win any oscars, but I thought it was cute and enjoyed it. The visuals are definitely a highlight with so much looking like parts of WDW. _________________ It's kind of fun to do the impossible. ~Walt Disney |

So who (besides me) cried like a baby during the closing credits when they learned where the buzz phrase, Keep Moving Forward, came from? _________________ --Rita |

I really enjoyed the film, loved the soundtrack as well. Thought it was really fun and a good original story for kids. I'll admit I was a little choked up when the quote was displayed. I also went nuts when they had an original Mickey Mouse cartoon short before the movie. Best five dollars I've spent in a while. |

We saw it in 3D, and got a Donald Duck cartoon from 1953 (Working for Peanuts) that was originally shown in stereoscopic 3D. We also got a preview of Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D that will be re-released this October. _________________ --Rita |

We enjoyed the movie and seeing it in 3D made it that much better. What was really exciting was seeing a few names in the credits that we knew including my own. _________________ *~deb~*

Rita, remember when we were in Walt's apartment? You and I are too much alike! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I heard on the news this AM that some adoption group is all upset about this movie. It seems they believe that the fact that this kid in the movie goes through so many interviews and can't get adopted may be upsetting to potential adoptees. Disney pointed out the fact that somebody, maybe the producer, was himself adopted. _________________ [ |

We went to go the late show Tuesday night, in 3D. First off, seeing a short in front of a movie is always a good thing. And I don't remember the last time I heard that Donald Duck theme song. I really need to get some of the shorts on DVD....anyway, on to the movie its self. We really enjoyed. A lot. While, yes, its not the best thing I have ever seen, it was exactly what I was looking for. A fun and touching movie that looked amazing. The visuals, I thought, were great too look at. It was a whole lot of fun, which is what it should be. Talking about it afterwards, my wife really thought they marketed this completely wrong. Here is something that isn't a cute talking animal or a princess, something right up the "boy" demographic, and yet there was a lackluster ad campaign. A shame. A great message in the movie, too. And maybe this might mean the start of a turn around for Disney, as I have read on some of the more, um....."critical" websites. And is it a problem I am hopping they are selling the T-shirt Wilbur wears in the movie when I head down to WDW next month?
Oh, and how cool is it that They Might Be Giants sing "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" on the soundtrack!
Keep moving forward! |
