They're filming Underdow right outside our building. They were further into the city last week, but I guess they decided they needed a new block. Right now they're setting things up and if the rain holds off I'm sure they'll bring out the cameras. _________________ *~deb~*

I saw the preview for this. This is one movie that should have been given the red light, not green. Maybe I'm just too old for that though. |

My daughter saw the previews for this movie and she thinks it is cute and
wants to se it.
Too bad she is too young to remember the original cartoon.
It was filmed right near home but I think I'll wait for it to come out on DVD.
Too many other good movies to see this time of year. |

A rhetorical question: Why is Disney going for these stupid slapstick movies that it thumbed its nose at for so many years? That was one of the original fundamentals was that they didn't stoop to the level of children by having talking dogs and overly corny slapstick humor. They used to have intelligent humor directed at adults that also worked with kids. See: Pixar films. These new movies are really really bad.
Jason Lee, how much money were you offered for this crud? You used to be edgy in the Kevin Smith movies. |

Well... a few thoughts.
1) I like the fact someone is making this a movie, for personal nostalgia reasons.
2) Most of the audience will not recognize it as a re-make of the original...
3) I think this would be better under another Label than "Disney", for many of the reasons KMiller expresses. I think this could still be done, as slapstick, but with out drawing down the Disney label. |

Someone here at work saw this last night at a special preview in Providence, RI and said it was great!
Guess we're going to have to go this weekend between shifts at the store. _________________ *~deb~*
