Great looking property. I especially like the Silo. Best of luck - I'd love to run a B&B someday. |

It's funny you should mention that...Kim and I were talking about adopting you, on our way home from the Jamboree... _________________

It is wonderful to see & hear folks actually making their dream possible. I'll look forward to watching the progress as this transforms to a B&B as you shoot toward your ultimate goal. Please keep us informed. |

OK...so the big part of the move is finally done! For the first time in my life, I actually hired "movers for all the heavy stuff!! It was great! I stood there and directed where to put stuff. I could get used to this...
Thanks to everyone for their kind words. The Bed & Breakfast will take quite so time to accomplish. The kids will have to be out of school (in a few years), and we'll have to do some major remodeling...but we have a start. A great property in a great location.
As the next couple of weeks go by, we'll try to give you progress reports, regarding our getting settled in..... _________________

Settling in...preparing for the Holidays....good times! Happy to hear everything went well. I think hiring movers is a GREAT idea! I just rid myself of everything heavy before I moved last time--ha ha.
Hope the settling is fun...making your new space "home"!

Ellory, we hired movers when we moved into the house. It was the smartest thing we did. _________________ *~deb~*

We moved ourselves a few times, really hard when all of our apts have been on the second floors.... never going to do that again... Have a moving fund setup for the next time, just for movers...
Yo Ellory, we need to throw a party when you open the B&B, that's when we have the UAB Jamboree: UAB Invades Gurney! Especially if isn't in the summer, cause then I can host the Bleacher Bum Meet (points to those who get that one.... but not Justin)...

Ah the bleachers, beer, and the blistering sun. I can see the ambulance now. |

*UPDATE*
well the construction on our bedroom is almost finished (should be done by the end of today). All we have to do is paint, after that. The boxes are still standing around the house, 5 tall. I think we'll start the major unpacking this weekend.
We've been having a nightmare getting the cable and internet service for all the rooms. I could go into details, but I'll start screaming uncontrolably, again. Hopefully it will be resolved by Wednesday evening.
We are really loving the new place, and starting to feel like it's really ours.
As for the "UAB Invades Gurnee" Jamboree...I don't think the Bed and Breakfast will be ready any time soon....but you're all welcome to visit...we'll set you up with a room in the Silo... _________________

Oh it wasn't an option, it was a statement: "UAB Invades Gurnee!" There's no stopping the masses now! |

It looks like UAB is ready for the Gurnee Invasion. The question is....is Gurnee ready for UAB? _________________
