I have to agree, I miss the old Main Street too.
Here's my list:
If You Had Wings
Mission to Mars
SkyWay
20,000 Leagues
Original Back lot Tour
Mickey Mouse Review (I would've liked my girls to have seen that)
Original Journey into Imagination (and after show exhibit) |

Hey everyone! Im new to this. But, I would say I miss the original JII and W.O.M. and I do agree as well that there is nothing like pre-90's disney, it still has that magic feel today....but its just not the same. |

I actually kinda miss tbe TimeKeeper and Mr Toad. A mt Fugi ride at JApan in EPCOT would be amazing! But the Department store probably takes enough room up already . |

Hey, that store in Japan is an attraction itself... I know a group of UABers who can make that place the best attraction on property. All you need is the admin staff and a few wind up monkees. And let's not forget, this is the natural environment of

Wow, someone else misses the Swan Boats. It's nice to see someone as old as I am here. I actually haven't been to WDW in a decade. I'm really sorry to hear that they changed the "Tiki Room" (I requested it yesterday). Its a shame the skyway is gone. I used to love "If You Had Wings". They shouldn't have changed the name of the WEDway Peoplemover to the TVA.
As far as the shops in Main Street go, I used to work at the best (House of Magic). Back in the seventies there was also Merlin's in Fantasyland as well (which became Mickey's Christmas). |

I hate to resurrect an older thread, but I've been hardcore in Figment withdrawal, lol.
I got to be very close to the guy, and when I went earlier this year, I found out he wasn't in the parks anymore. BOO. :\
I also kinda miss the 1994(?) Spaceship Earth; I love the animatronic upgrades and the interaction with the touch-screen, but I feel like it's not as soothing as it was before.
I wish I could have been around for the better rides; I had never been to Disney until 2006, and I only experienced what they had at that moment... but after looking at YouTube videos, I REALLY would have liked to have ridden the original Journey into the Imagination; it looked so much more intricate and awe-inspiring. There was definitely more imagination back then... not that the rides aren't good now... |

I am surprised to hear this.. I was down in Dec, and they had a figment meet and greet running that was great. Guess I got to see him before they pulled him. Hope he periodically makes a come back.
They really do need a new sponsor for that site and to get a decent ride in there... |

I would love to see something like that!
It's a shame that they can't just do some sort of "EPCOT exclusive" Figment animation- or even just a few shorts to toss around EPCOT's section of Disney's website... The problem is that Figment has no exposure- even with his merchandise around the ride.
You're lucky to have ran into him! I was supposed to visit around December, but didn't... I'm kicking myself over that now! I hope they get a new sponsor for sure- it's terrible to see what was essentially(or officially?) EPCOT's "mascot" become unavailable in his own park. |
