We just saw a late night showing over at the Downtown Disney AMC here in California.
I've gotta be honest, the first 10 minutes had me questioning things a bit even Harrison Ford 20 years later. By the end of the film....It TOTALLY felt like it belonged as part of the Indiana Jones Franchise. Even moreso, Watching Harrison Ford and Karen Allen interact again was like watching old friends you hadn't seen in years but were a strong part of your life in a sort of captivating way.
All in all, I thought this was a great addition to the film. Over the top and unbelievable just like an Indiana Jones film should be.
I'm not big on informal lengthy reviews that and I'm ALSO not one to give away any spoilers even small minor "Hey did ya see that?" sort of things. _________________

I'm mixed myself... My problem is that in past films there was always a lot of times where Indy had to use his own ingenuity to solve a problem. In this one, other than one occasion early on, there wasn't any evidence of that.
The one Shia scene in the jungle was really frustrating... Those who saw the movie know what I'm talking about. It was like "how the heck could they let that one get through???"
Ford was fantastic.
I hope they make another one. |

We went to see this on Monday.
We all loved it. It was another great installment in the Indiana Jones saga.
It lived up to all the standards that I have come to exspect and love from all
the Indiana Jones movies.
They better decide soon if they are going to go for a fifth installment.
Harrison Ford isn't getting any younger. |

We finally saw this today. Over the top? Yep. Far-fetched? Yep. Did I like it? Yep.
I went back and watched Raiders last week... folks who are saying the premise of the new movie is over the top need to go back and re-watch the originals. The plot hasn't gotten crazier, we've just gotten older. |
