Some sad news this morning...Paul Newman has died after a long bought with cancer at age 83. He had a long and successful film career, including his Best Actor Oscar for 'The Color of Money', playing Fast Eddie Nelson for the Disney Company, and his last performance as the endearing Doc Hudson in 'Cars'. He will surely be missed by all. _________________ John |

This is very sad, He will be deeply missed.
I still love him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. |

Too sad! Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
I wonder what they'll do for Cars II if his character was part of it? _________________ *~deb~*

He was a man that did a lot of good for this world while passing through it.
We need more personalities like him in the world than we need, well .... most of the other personalities we actually have.
A good man. |

Most of you probably know that Paul Newman used to race sports cars, which made his turn as Doc Hudson all the more poignant. I used to be PR director for a race track, and he was there one day testing a race car. I was in the office kitchen heating up my lunch when he popped his head in and started talking to me! It was a brief encounter, but those baby blues are forever etched in my memory. I had the great pleasure of seeing him race at the 24 Hours of Daytona a couple of times, also. Godspeed to a great man. |
