|

Source: tfw2005.com
copied and pasted the translation posted up in the original thread over at tfw2005:
"And what's this?
This month we'll give you just a peak via silhouette... The sharper among you probably already know what it is - but yes, it's really what you think. Transformers, too, has come to a collaboration with that ultra-world-famous character. Look forward to us following this story closely from here on out!"
Speculation is that this is a crossover between Disney and Transformers.
I don't know about a lot of the UAB members here, but I'm a BIG Transformers fan- and having worked for WDW, I certainly sketched a nice amount of Disney-type transformers into my sketchbooks between sets. I really thought there was a bigger chance of a Figment animated movie happening before something like this. It makes the nerd in me DOUBLY excited. Most of the TF fans I know aren't too happy about this, but I think it's a great way for even non-Transformers brands to get into such things!
No other information is released yet that I've been able to track down, but I CERTAINLY HOPE that, since this is in Japan, Chip and Dale will be given figures, haha!
Thoughts?

my initial thought: Just be cause you can do something, does not mean you should do something.
Then after rethinking about it... I think this could actually work out ok.
Guess we will have to see how it comes out and stay open minded until that point. |

Image of the Mickey Mouse transformer from tfw2005.com:
With copied and pasted info:
Mickey Mouse:
Transform from a trailer truck to a robot. "Costume change" gimmick (Mickey Mouse in the driver's seat puts on a battle suit when transforming to robot mode, and he appears on top of the robot head) is included. "Exciting gimmick" (Robot arms flap up and down when upper body is pushed down) included.
I... I want this... |

Haha! I know I would have a blast with this XD! Coloring Transformers comics for the past 5 years has given me this sort of "obsession" with these kinds of things... I'm just amazed at the design, really. To make a truck-looking thing turn into a robot that bears a lot of resemblance to Mickey- I dunno. I'm impressed.
I want to see what this looks like painted. I'm totally ordering one because I'm a Disney and Transformers nerd XD. |

From what Hasbro has said, they will not be releasing this in the US. So you would have to import it or ebay...... Or you could buy it from this site when it is released: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10080145 _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

Wow! I thought the colored versions would last longer- pre-ordered a Black and White version at a pretty good price vs. what you can find at ebay here:http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=1813
Only the black and whites seem to be available, but the figure was around $53 with shipping vs. the $65+ with shipping on ebay.
I want time so I can draw this guy XD.
If only there could be a Figment transformer! |

Those are very cool.
I grew up with Transformers and then you add Mickey!!
I would love to get one of those.
Make more and send then to the states, they would go. |
