sorry its the scifi freak in me to wanna discuss time travel i believe doc brown said it best it could be catastrophe that could unravel the space time continuum or the damage could just be contained to merely our own galaxy.
The laws of time travel cant be changed even if the simulation was reprogrammed sorry
ok then _________________

Well I do not see it as time travel as much as an alternate universe. These two places could theoretically coexist according to well here is where my English degree fails me but, they could. If need be I will get back up from some Scincey type of friends. So the story should not be that hard to swallow. BTW Doc Brown time traveled with steam. So I am not sure that is a valid source for time travel and alternate universes. _________________ Jason

Personally, I like the idea that the "future" has been rewritten. Capt. Kirk and other are from a different generation, a different set of ideals and a different time. Rewriting it so that a new generation can enjoy it for what it could be it pretty cool. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

but if they are rewriting the past it will change the future period because if this the start Chekhov wasn't on bored for a second half of the first season and like in star wars everytime gl writes something he has to change other things _________________

assuming this is an alternate reality/dimension or true time travel... That poses an interesting issue for Spock. He has 150+ years of technology he can dump on them. Also you would think he would be able to forwarn them of a variety of potential issues. Borg, Cardassians, Klingons. That raises a whole bunch of questions.
what can he share, what can't he share, how can they leverage it to their advantage?
Vulcan was 1 planet in a large federation. It would seem many of those other planets would still progress on unfettered by the meddling. |

I finally got to see this last night, Yes i'm a little slow getting to the movies.
I found it very well done. They did a good job of finding actors who
resemble the originals and they did a great job of honoring the original
story line, with some modern changes of course.
I think even Gene Roddenberry would have enjoyed the new spin on his
old story.
I did !! |
