I'm curious as to how folks are liking or not liking this version...
And how well the story stays true to the Dicken's story line.

anyone seen this?

We saw it Friday in 3D.

Overall, I liked it. It seems to have stayed VERY true to the book. There were a few giggle points but overall, it was a very dark but moving story.

The animation process was interesting and visually made it very enjoyable. It's also amazing on how many parts each of the actors played. I know they focused on Jim Carrey's multiple parts, but others also did a lot.

Now, having said all that, Muppet Christmas Carol is still my favorite! And Scrooged!

I didn't get to see this movie.

My wife and daughter went with some friends and they also said it was dark.

I also agree with Daveypoo on the Muppet's Christmas Carol it is my favorite too. Very Happy

Yeah, I agree... Muppets and then Scrooged, followed by Mickey's and the George C. Scott version!

I really enjoyed seeing this. I'd see it again.

I will say, my ultimate favorite is the Muppets. I can remember watching that with Elizabeth when she was little and she'd recite the entire movie. Too cute!

Mickey's and Muppets are my faves!

Not very excited for the new one though. Maybe I'll see if my youngest sister and/or mom would like to check it out when they're down in a couple weeks for a visit. I love the story, being a bit of a Scrooge myself, but I dunno... The 'darkness' of the story some have mentioned may be the redeeming factor for my sister and myself...
