Disneyland App for iPad

We just downloaded the new Disneyland Explorer App for our iPad, and while I've only had about 20 mins or so to play around with it, it's seems pretty fun.

It does remind me some of the old WDW Explorer CD-Rom "game" I had for my computer some 15 years ago....sheesh I'm getting old.

Anyone else try it out yet? Thoughts?

I also downloaded it this weekend and took a brief look at it and the graphics are great, but I haven't jumpped into the functionality yet. Maybe tonight...

There are some mini games which are fun. At least for my 4 and 2 year old. Othewise, after you "click" on a ride or person, all you get is a picture of said ride or person. For some you get a quick video of the attraction.

I liked the 360 rooms of the Disneyland Hotel, the Star Tours one was simple and fun. And the make your own fireworks show is pretty neat too.

You can see how it can be updated after awhile with new games or pictures. Especially once Carland is open, as it's there, but with a "coming soon" sign.

Overall, it looks, sounds and feels terrific.

Now if they would only get a WDW up and running...

I got to play with it a tad the other night. For a free app, it's pretty awesome. If I had to pay for it, it would be pretty awesome!
