Fortune magazine has named The Walt Disney Company the most highly regarded corporation in the entertainment industry.
For its annual America's Most Admired Companies survey, Fortune asked 3,700 people representing dozens of industries to select the companies they hold in the highest esteem, using eight criteria to measure their responses: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products and services. Disney took excellent marks in several categories, including innovation, people management and social responsibility, and was named the No. 1 most admired entertainment company overall.
