is anyone else saddened by Universal closing this attraction? I will miss it. It is still one of my favorite simulator attractions. |

I am sorry to see it go, it was a great ride. But by the same token, it is dated and many now are not familiar with the series. Who knows they might replace it with something better. |

That is sad. That was, hands-down the best simulator ride. I'm wondering why they're going to close that, when there are so many other rides in that park that could use rework (Jaws, Twister, T2, ET, etc). |

That is a bummer.
We ride that when ever we go.
Even my DD likes it. She was well versed in the movies because
she has parents who watch them when ever they are run on cable.
It will be a shame to lose one of their best rides. |

This Friday is the last day, March 30... They are even going to open the park early for Universal Passholders, to be able to ride it one last time...
We will probably skip it, we were never big fans of the ride. We like the theming and the story, my biggest problem with it the ride was the movement. The vehicle movement was too extreme and too jerky for me, it always made me nausia and hurt my neck....
There are several rumors about what is going to replace this ride, the two biggest is a Fast and the Furious ride or Simpsons ride. The Simpsons themed ride is what everyone outside of the compnay is saying, but Fast and the Furious themed ride is what most USO CMs are saying...
Only time will tell... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

For some reason I never had a problem with that ride, but all of my friends did. I have heard that they have opening early for passholders all week. I just hope whatever they replace it with is better or I will be dissapointed. |

Honestly, it seems Universal takes more pride in Orlando theme park then the Hollywood park. It's really sad because some people can't go to Orlando all the time and deserve to have the best in California _________________ Attention travelers, please remain seated. well like all go things everything must go but that was one of there best but like you said hopefully they replace with something better. I hated to see Konfrontation go it was great in my opinion. Only cause I remember when it was still having problems when it first opened man it was fun when the lady who was in the car with us was really scared because Kong was doing things it wasn't supposed to do she was really scared man that was fun.
oh well another good ride gone _________________

I have been to Universal once and that was in 1993. Back to the Future was a good attraction, and so was ET, and Ghost Busters. Other than that, I though Kongfrontation was a waste of time, 45 minutes in line for a 2 minute ride, Jaws was broken, as it often was. I was just never excited enough about it to go back.
I'll probaly get there one of these days because my wife has never been, but I won't rush. _________________ [ |

Well, there has been some updates since 1993 Frank
BtoF: Closed
Ghostbusters: Gone (several years, bummer)
ET: in desperate need of a referb
Kongfrontation: Replaced by Mummy
Jaws: Looks better, but still broken a lot

Is the Flintstone's ride still there? How about that tired old Beetlejuice show? Sorry. Can you tell my first visit left a bad impression. The kids never asked to go back. _________________ [ |

Flintstones Ride? When/where was that?
Bettlejuice has changed at least twice.... for several years it was Beetlejuice's All New Graveyard Review... my wife and I really, really liked that version of the show (along with the Ghostbuster's show)...
Last year (or year before) they changed the show again, now it sucks.... same type of show, just crappy choreography, horrible costumes, bad songs, I haven't met anyone who likes the new show.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

I think he's referring to the Hanna Barbera flight simulator. |
