Wasn't sure if I should put this under Concourse Lounge or here, but as it is movie related...

Frequently folks will talk about how the Oscar winners are all either great movies, or always boring movies, or always High-brow etc.

so hence my question.

Why do you go to a movie?

There's nothing like the experience of the big screen, no matter how hard you attempt to recreate the feeling at home.

jaho is right. Smile
Some movie you just have to see on the big screen. Very Happy

Not that being able to push pause at home to use the bathroom isn't great
as well but its still not the big screen.

Besides at the theater if my DD spills popcorn all over the place I don't have to clean it up. Wink Popcorn

I agree with Jaho too. There are some movies that you HAVE to see on the big screen.

Hi folks. I guess my choice would have to be all of the above. Having said that I should point out that I don't actually go to the theater anymore. Maybe it's just me but I don't find the general atmosphere at the local multiplex very conducive to enjoying a movie on it's own merits. However, before I'm labeled a crank, I will say that on rare occasions I will venture out with family or friends if the demand is great enough. After all I do like the movies, but on my own terms. Later, peace.
