Hey folks. I'm still getting used to this 'starting a topic' angle so please bear with me.
Has anyone seen or heard of the "Walking with Dinoaurs: Live" program?
They've been running it ad nauseum on PBS lately - pledge drive - and it actually is a
rather fascinating program on what looks like an entertaining experience.
Having said that, here it comes; does anyone get the impression that everyone
else in the world has a better understanding of 'animontronic entetainment' than the
company that created it?
I'm all for other entities trying to bring something new to the table and 'upgrade' the
technology that moves the industry forward; but it's almost heartbraking to see the
originators of the art fall behind more and more every year.
I know I'm ranting here but, if an independant company from another country can
take the craft to a whole new level, then why can't the company that put the word
'animatronic' into the public mindset do a little something more to keep their place as
the top of the heap.
Well, before I completely lose it, let me just say this. "Walking with Dinosaurs: Live",
great one-time experience. DL, WDW, etc, lifetime of inspiration.
Anyway, that's what's seeping out of my head today. Later. Peace.
