What is significant about the position of the chess players on the board by the 2 skeletons in the POTC queue? (or suppose to be as some times the position is not set up to reflect this...)

The pirates died playing a game neither could win - a stalemate.

I've read several places the board no longer has this configuration. I've also read it was reset to this configuration. Anyone know?

I believe that due to trash, etc. being thrown at the board, the pieces move fairly often. I suspect that CM's cleaning up the room may move a piece at random, just because. Somewhere there is an Imagineer rolling over in his grave!

We're going to restart this game too. Here's the next question!

The Journey Into Imagination pavillion at EPCOT takes its design from a scrapped concept from what other Future World pavillion?

I remember there was supposed to be a movie attraction between it and the land until it was spun off as the Disney MGM Studios.

Given the shape of the building, I'd guess the Land Pavillion.

You are correct jbohn! The Land pavillion was originally supposed to have a giant biosphere living habitat (like Bio-Dome, just not as corny!) so the glass pyramids could be seen with large trees in them. You're up!
