I would assume that someone here has ridden Soarin', what do you think of it? Are the health restrictions correct? Is it a taxing attraction?
Thanks! _________________ Nancie șoș

I love this ride. As someone who is afraid of heights, I was concerned before riding, but needlessly so. |

Loved it in Cali... Not violent at all, but the visual motion sickness thing may be well warranted. |

If you get "car sick" real easily, then you may want to skip this ride. If not, ENJOY! It is an awesome ride, this coming from a certified heights/coaster-chicken...
If heights to bother you, I would ask for the third row on your first ride. The third row ends up on the underneth the other rows when the ride starts and is close to the floor... That is what I did the first time I rode it...
Now I get upset if I can't be in the center section, first row...
Hope that helps.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

I love Soarin'....even if it does scare the....well you know...out of me. I am aferaid of heights in an unenclosed place. But the pictures and soundtrack are just so awesome, and then flying over Disneyland....just fantastic.
I've honestly never heard of anyone getting queezy on this from the motion. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

thanks for all the input! I have a thing with heights, but I was also worried about the "free of heart probs. etc" I was thinking this is one my aunt would enjoy, but since she suffers from congestive heart failure maybe she should skip it. _________________ Nancie șoș

My wife gets pretty freaked out about heights... and she was apprehensive for about the first 30 seconds of Soarin, but then she relaxed and was able to enjoy the experience.
And like Daveypoo said, the experience of flying into and over the Disneyland park, was awesome!!! I actually got a little choked up and almost shed a tear of joy. Im not sure a ride has ever made me feel that way. Kinda weird.
But I rode it 3 times and loved it! _________________ "Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled

I love this ride! I also have a fear of heights and was a bit nervous m first time. So, I had to keep telling myself that I was NOT that far off the ground. Then I was able to sit back and enjoy it. I also like the fact that it "flys" over the city where I live...Camarillo...sad thing is that the orange grove it flys over is now gone. |

Ya, my wife has a fear of hieghts, too. I also can get motion sick on certain rides. My wife was totally cool, once she realized that we were actually only 30 feet off the ground. I, as usual, popped some Dramamine, and was fine. I always take a little before I go to the parks, just in case. If you've ever seen "Impressions de France", and gotten motion sick from that movie, you might have a hard time with Soarin.....unless you do the Dramamine thing.
The only ride that has ever really given me trouble was "Mission Space"...and that was with the Dramamine!
Soarin' is now one of our favorite rides. Take chance...don't miss it...you'll never know until try! |

I was apprehensive the first time I rode because I am not a big fan of heights or thrill rides. I walked off of that ride amazed. Disney has many good attractions that I always enjoy. But Soarin' is the only one I walk off of using the much overused term "AWESOME!".
Now maybe I'll try TOT next. _________________ [ |

Although I have no problems with heights, I sometimes get motion sickness. I have never had a problem with this ride. |

I'd put off going on this one for a while mainly because of the lines, but I'm really glad I finally made the time to catch it. Soarin's truly breathtaking and the music/ambience make for a magical exp.
My wife and I took our 4 yr old daughter on it and the whole family loved it.
That being said, if your Aunt has health issues, err on the side of caution. Plenty of other things to catch |

Good ride, probably the most popular at California Adventure and the most crowded all the time. I'll only go on it though with Fastpass cause 2 hours is to long a wait when Disneyland is waiting across the way or California Screamin' "Screamin'" my name |
