It seems that You Tube has quite a Soarin' fan base. Here's one video that someone created for Soarin' Over Florida.

Soarin' Over Florida

So here's the question. It's been rumored that Soarin' in Florida will be getting a new movie. Based on the fan film above, what would you change IF the new movie were Soarin' Over Florida?

I think the fan film needs more action--maybe something like a boat skimming across the Everglades. I don't recognize the city, so something more familar looking like Miami Beach. I like the space center shots, but maybe the launch could be a bit closer. And most importantly, it should end with the Magic Kingdom fireworks with Cinderella Castle in the foreground.

The difficulty with Florida is there's a lot of similar terrain. So what would you do to spice it up a bit? Maybe add in a cruise port (i.e. the Disney Wonder or Magic), and a sunset at Key West.

You are corrent, compared to the terrain of California, Florida is boring and the same (unless we can "soar" through a hurricane, that would be cool)....

I think the rumor has been more about a "Soarin' Over the World", then Soarin' Over Florida... I like this idea better, going from the Rhine River, to Angel Falls, Great Barrier Reef, Great Wall of China, etc.... that would be really cool....

with a closing shot of flying over all of the Disney castles, ending with Magic Kingdom...

My understanding was they could feature ANYPLACE since the attraction is just named Soarin'. This way they could feature each state, all of the USA, or even different parts of the world. There would be no limit.

Now, as for Soarin' over FLA, they could do the raceway in Daytona, The everglades, the Keys, Kennedy Space Center, different beaches, different ports, orange groves, etc. No terrain differences, but different looks.

Lots of possibilities in Florida...

Soarin over parking lot I-4, the everglades already mentioned... The keys, the causeways, Soarin through a Cloud burst, a hurricane, Miami, etc...

I'm just disappointed they actually used Soarn over California at Flordia!!! What is Disney coming to... WDW's next theme park will be DCA?

I'd have rather they soared over Japan...

With the SOARN over the United States idea the potentual is endless.

They could even make several films so that it would never get old.

With all of the sites and things to see coast to coast there could be an
endless supply of different films they could make and change them
from time to time to keep it fresh. Smile

In this mew digital age, they could randomize the show. Build it up in segments and have the computer splice them together randomly so each show is different.

This is really a phenomenal idea full of endless potential, I'd make a trip just to see the changes. Disneyland Paris's version would be very intersting, Soarin' Over Europe would be awesome!
