So the real reason I wasn't able to get down to the Jamboree (and it looked like everyone had a good time) was we had something else going on in Toad Hall, you could say...
On October 11th, Leah Gabrielle was born! 7 lbs 13 oz, 20.5 in. Mother and daughter came through more then fine and everyone is still doing well. Just that no one is sleeping.
And now things have started to clam down (somewhat!) and we are getting into some kind of regular pattern that I can finally get back to listening to my favorite website around.
And the best part is I now get to educate (aka, brainwash) my child on the wonder, joy and over all magic that is all things Disney!
As you can see, we've started already....
and here are some regular pictures of the happy family...

Now to start planning that first trip to WDW.....hmmm..... |

Thanks again to everyone!
We had been playing UAB for her all through the pregnancy, so she could start getting used to the great sounds. She always seemed to react when we would sing "Zip-a Dee-Do-Da" and when we sign it to her now, it calms her down some.
Yeah, we've hooked another one! |

Yeah, we dont know when the first trip is going to be for her. Anyone have any thoughts as to what the right age is for that first trip to WDW/DL?
And when we do go, we will definitely be looking into the Baby Care Center. |

The right age depends on the parents and child (or children). We waited until our youngest was 6, but I've heard people taking younger kiddies.
One thing I will suggest when the time comes, mid-day naps! Hit the parks early, go back to the resort for a mid-day nap/rest (a couple of hours) and then the kid will be ready for a late night without issue. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I think my parents took me to WDW when I was really young. They told me about carrying me around and switching off so each could go on the rides. And I know we went when my younger sister was less than a year old. WDW has enough things to do that aren't rides so that whoever has to wait with the baby can find something to do. Always good to start the love of Disney early.
And congratulations, she's adorable! _________________ It's kind of fun to do the impossible. ~Walt Disney |
