And in 1973, I was a struggling college student making 1.65 an hour, which was minimum wage. It was tough to fill up that AMC Javelin for the 2 hour trip home from campus with gas at .39 per gallon. And a 6 pack of Schlitz was 1.80. I couldn't afford that and had to drink cheap stuff. _________________ [ |

WOW jbohn we must be thinking on the same wave length. I just lastnight sent an email off to Micecast with that info. They keep talking about doing a show about what rides they would o on if they had only one coupon book. but it's taking them forever to do the reasearch so I did it for them. I think I should go request Small world or somthing _________________ Jason

You apparently never heard of Rhode Island's own Narragansett Larger Beer. Good ol' nasty gansett. 1.30 a sixer. 1.60 if you wanted the 16 oz cans. More effective that a whole box of All-Bran.
DP can back me up on this. _________________ [ |

I've got a menu from Tony's (MK) in 1971 that says Coke $.10 and Pepsi $.5 Kinda odd. |

I was just reading something in one of the Disney books about Disney and their selling of coke products in the opening of WDW.
Maybe Disney was paying more for it? Hardly seems Coke would want folks buying Pepsi cause it was 1/2 the price. |

Pirates didn't open until Dec 1973... so it may not have been in the book, although it should have been listed in the "Coming Soon" listings... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

That is really neat. Tio think that in 30 years, most likely the advanced ticket system WDW has rightn ow will probably be replaced with some dna checking system or whatnot. |
