8 Notices of Commencement have been submitted to the Orange County Clerk's Office... which means that the construction has STARTED!

WDWMagic has a really good thread that lists the various building permits that Disney submits: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showpost.php?p=3777682&postcount=3

The first truly visible signs of the new Fantasyland are up... Construction walls around the MAoWtP: http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions/The-Many-Adventures-of-Winnie-the-Pooh/News/03Mar2010-Walls-up-around-'The-Many-Adventures-of-Winnie-the-Pooh'.htm

From what the photos say and what I have read else where, it appears that they are going to eventually reroute the current Pooh queue line and they will be moving the tree (and other items) from the meet & greet area to the new queue area. The construction walls are the prepping of the area for the trees and items to be moved from across the path...

We are headed to WDW in August - any thoughts as to whether Toontown will be open at all? We are travelling with a little one and would love to get her on Goofy's Barnstormer!

From what is being said, Disney plans on keeping Toontown open as long as possible. Probably for at least another year, until they start working on Pixie Hollow and Dumbo...

The article gives a little more in-depth information regarding the expansion and new attractions/meet-and-greets.

Have a good time, (he says sarcastically). I don't know how many times in a row I rode that with my grandson. I finally had to bribe him to stop by taking him over to buy a treat. Those little planes were not designed for someone as tall as I am.
