Golden Oak Luxury Residential Resort Community at Walt Disney World
Today, we’re unveiling something very different – an unprecedented opportunity to buy a home at the Walt Disney World Resort. You read right. Golden Oak is a new one-of-a-kind, luxury residential resort community that Disney Imagineers helped design. So, of course, it’ll have a unique Disney touch.Take a look at our first released artist rendering of a Tuscan village courtyard home – it’s one of several architectural styles that’ll be featured at Golden Oak. Parks, pedestrian pathways and a private clubhouse are also planned for the community designed especially for resort living.
Golden Oak, named after Walt’s Golden Oak Ranch in California, will offer single-family, custom homes priced between approximately $1.5 million and $8 million, with fewer than 30 home sites available for sale this year. Residents will also have access to select amenities at the planned Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, including the full service spa, restaurants, golf course and event space.
We’ll have more on this in future Disney Parks Blog posts. But if you’d like to know more right now, please visit www.disneygoldenoak.com.

Sounds like an even more upscale version of the DVC... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

If dropping several million on a home was no big deal for me, I would consider this.
I could think of worse places to live, and not many better, at least within the contiguous 48, that's for sure. |

Nothing about voting rights, the part that killed ideas like this in the past. Be interesting to see what they end up doing.
I'll never be able to afford it.
Another case of Disney forgetting Disney's desire to have a park everyone can enjoy. |

Oh, there will never be voting rights. Never. Disney will make sure of that. They had Celebration redistricted out of Bay Lake property to make sure that no one in that neighborhood could ever have a say in anything that might even remotely have an effect on what Disney does within the Bay Lake or Lake Buena Vista districts. They even built in a buffer zone between the two districts, just to make room for possible human error in the land surveys.
They're sneaky, and they are without question the most powerful landowners in the state. Did you know that they actually have carte blanche to build a nuclear power plant on their land, if they so desired? |
