Saw this on allearsnet today:

MAY 1, 2011: The British Invasion in the United Kingdom pavilion ended its run April 30, 2011. On May 3, 2011, a new four-piece, high-energy band, The British Airwaves, will replace The British Invasion. Spanning decades of popular British music, every show of this new act will be a chronological journey with random fun facts about songs and artists through the years, from the Dave Clark Five and the Beatles, to the music of Led Zeppelin and The Who.

This should be interseting to see the next time we are there.

My DW + DD both loves the British Invasion group, I hope the new group is
just as entertaining.

Yep, apparently they have a facebook page (read it on another site) and they ended their contract with Disney but will return for the occasional concert. I was actually surprised that the band was it's own entity unlike bands at DLR where members come and go.

I'm glad I was able to catch a number of British Invasion sets on my last visit.

I was down there last week, but only visited Boardwalk for lunch.

On a stroll over to the Epcot rear gate I could hear this new group.

Absolutely butchered "Twist & Shout", all wrong temp and the vocals were nothing special.

Will have to catch a full set to make a decision, but I'm sad to see the British Invasion go.

My parents and I used to catch British Invasion shows on a regular basis. It was a nice chance to sit and relax, and always a fun show. And, of course, it's what my parents grew up listening to, so they loved the songs.

Actually, we love the new band. One of our favorite activities at Epcot is bouncing back and forth between British Revolution and Off Kilter. With stops along the way at the Canadian beer cart or Rose and Crown, of course.

I thoroughly enjoy hearing bands other than the Beatles. They have good energy and the crowd seems to get into it. Apparently Tigger likes to get into it too, as we caught him dancing around in between photos at the Character Meet spot.
