Something I find interesting is not this website where we are able to visit the attraction never opened to us young people. I think that is one of the best parts of the website _________________ Attention travelers, please remain seated. Your vechile will be rotating backwards. -Spaceship Earth |

For me it's Bear Country Jamboree, the People Mover, and America Sings.
Though I have to admit, re-using the figures from AS in Splash Mountain was nice. I wish they had done the Bear Country Race Car Ride so the bears would still be in the park. _________________ Brian Kolm

I have two attractions I really miss: the Mine Train (Rainbow Caverns was great), and Adventure Through Inner Space. I could stand there all day, mesmerized by the 'atom-moblies' disappearing into the Mighty Microscope and seeing them shrink at the other end. I feel lucky to have seen it and sorry for all of you who never had the chance to experience true Disney magic... _________________ John |

Captain Eeo with Michael Jackson in it before he went...I just remember it for some reason. It was cool at the time (4 years old) |

I miss to boats! They used to be accross from the matterhorn...the new autopia track I think has taken over this area. The boat was on a track...so were using a steering wheel that did nothing...not the funnest of rides...but it was when I was 5! Hehe.... |

I love this topic. I'm not that old, but . . . . . . .
The Peoplemover is probably my most missed ride. But wait, is it Adventure Through Inner Space? Or Mission to Mars? Those were great too. And yes - I loved the boats! It was a nice peaceful break - I was in high school when those went away and even as an "older" kid I loved them. Oh and I really miss the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - Tarzan's treehouse just isn't the same. And the Skyway was the best transportation in the park in my opinion.
Food wise the BBQ at the ranch place was AWESOME!!!! And I miss the ranch in general - I'm an animal lover - I'd spend at least an hour there each day, and I loved going through the old farm house. The mexican restaurant at DL was much better also before they combined it with the BBQ place. And "sigh" Fantasia ice cream . . . .
Ok, so I'm having a hard time picking my MOST missed attraction. I could keep going, I have at least another 3 in mind, but I think I should stop here. |

I miss the Peoplemover, America sings, & Adventure thru Inner Space.
An interesting observation about these are that they were all in Tomorrowland..... I'm not too happy with the existing Tomorrowland at DL. It seems empty or something. I can't explain it.
The Peoplemover was more interesting than the TTA at WDW. I was expecting more from the TTA when I visited WDW recently, but it did remind me of the Peoplemover.
I miss America sings because you could sit for 15-20 minutes to rest and enjoy the music. I remember everyone would clap to the beat when the theatre would rotate in between the scenes. Funny though, America sings really didn't have anything to do with the Future. Adventure thru Inner Space is one I remember the least. I have the audio ride thru on my Ipod and I wish I could ride it again.
Just my 2 cents. |

I'd have to agree there. I think the Country Bears were the best...compared to Pooh (I actually haven't gone on it...but I don't think I would if I was able to). Country Bears rock!!! |

Hi again. For me it was, is, and will always be-get ready-The Walt Disney Story featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. In fact, the Main Street Opera house itself was a great place to spend some quiet time and see Disney history, (before the Disney Gallery, of course). However I should say that the best version of the show was the '70s version, and maybe the '86 upgrade, but that's it. Coming a close second would have to be the Country Bear Theater, ( I thought all three shows were good), and a good third would be , of course, the Peoplemover, nuff said. Also, an honorable mention goes to: 1) CircleVision-Bell Telephone years. 2) America Sings. 3) Golden Horseshoe Revue-Original show. 4) Mission to Mars. And, of course, 5) Submarine Voyage-also 'nuff said. Well, that'll do it for now. Peace. |
