Rumor central has it that the free dining plan will be offered this year for WDW visits between 8/26 - 9/22. According to semi-reliable sources, this will be avaiable for trips booked between 4/12 and 6/24.
But it is just a rumor...

They did something like this last year. When I stayed at the Caribbean Beach at the end of September, there were people staying at the value resorts that got the meal plan thrown in for free.
Needless to say, I wasn't too happy, as we paid full price for the week's meal plan and were staying at a moderate resort.
I think they want to fill the resorts during this time period. |

Disney has offered free dining for the past two years during that same time period (mid-August until the end of September). One caveat is that you cannot use a code for your room, you must pay rack rate for the room in order to get free dining. You also have to buy your park tickets through Disney, so annual passholders aren't eligible.

Rumor has been confirmed!
Actually Disney is advertising it on their website.
We just booked our September trip and we get Free Dining. That is the best. |

Sorry, but this is not a program that local APs and Fla residents support... mainly because we are excluded....
which means, another year of packed restaurants and 3+ month waiting lists....
