We took my oldest child to WDW three times before he was one year old! I find that under one year of age, they are VERY portable, nap on the fly and don't get upset when they can't ride Splash Mountain!!
After that, it really does depend. You'll find that your trip will change - you'll discover new favorites - or re-discover old ones!
Disney with a child is magic in its purest form!!
OK, that would exclude the time that my my youngest puked on himself and my husband twice at Mama Melrose's Which brings up another point - with young ones, getting a DVC 1-bedroom with a washer/dryer is a good idea if the budget can handle it.

I planned my daughter's first trip when I was still pregnant with her. She was about 7 months old when we went. I agree with Kray (well she is my older and wiser sister) they are very portable at that age. DVCs are great!!! I always feel that as long as the adults outnumber the kids you should be good to go
Nothing like a new born child. May your family share years of joys together.
As to the Disney trip... Until she is 3 or 4, you are really going for yourself, as most likely she will not remember it.
Doing Disney with a Baby is totally different from doing it with just a spouse of with older children. Even with Baby Swap, it takes a lot longer to do attractions. And you need to plan for rests a lot more frequently.
