Another injury:

By Anika Myers Palm, Orlando Sentinel

A woman was injured in a boating accident on Thursday at Walt Disney World near the Treehouse Villas.

Barbara Wormald, 61, of Celebration and Skipton, England, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center to receive treatment for a collapsed lung, fractured ribs and back pain, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Wormald and her husband, Michael, had rented a small boat at Downtown Disney and began to make their way through the Walt Disney World Resort waterways, the Sheriff’s Office said. At some point, the two found themselves in the path of a ferry.

Michael Wormald told a sheriff’s deputy that he turned to the right too late to avoid the ferry.

William Green, the captain of the ferry, told authorities he put the ferry in reverse when it crashed into the boat.

The Wormalds’ boat went under the ferry, and Barbara Wormald was wedged between the ferry and the small boat.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Holy Cow!! What next? Seems like every time we turn around something is happening...

I would assume the small craft is at fault in this one....

Glad to see noone died in this one.

Yeah the small boat was at fault... the husband said he thought that the ferry was going to move.

Yeah, I'm sure the ferry could turn on a dime...

Next we'll read the Ferry was *actually* Fulton's! Laughing

But, yes, glad there wasn't another fatality.

The poor ferry boat captain will probably lose his job.
I didn't mean to sound unsympathetic to the injured.

May God have mercy on all involved in this accident, includeding the witnesses, in Jesus's name.

Sorry this happened, but I think part of what we are seeing is just the media reporting every little thing they can.

I am sure things like we are seeing use to happen before and just did not get as reported.

I agree with that statement a little... Disney and their transportation is a "hot topic" right now, so everything little thing is going to be reported. However, I have liked that when the accident is clearly not Disney's fault, the news organizations have reported it that way. Usually when the news is sporatic, it has a tendency to be geared towards Disney being at fault (regardless). At least they are being a little more straight forward with the tone of their stories and articles...

It does not help that many people think of boats as toys and do not realize there are rules for using them...Heck you need licenses to sail in many states
